A letter from Philip Hammond MP

We wrote to our Member of Parliament, Philip Hammond MP, expressing our concerns about the plans for the new Walton Bridge and the environmental impact of a twin loop road junction at Cowey Sale.  

We received a thoughtful and encouraging response, particularly on the matter of increased traffic along Walton Lane.  Philip Hammond MP wrote to Surrey County Council about this on 28 September 2004, seeking a commitment from them to act swiftly if a traffic increase along Walton Lane becomes apparent.  We are awaiting news of any response from Surrey County Council.  Update: We have received further letters from Philip Hammond MP
